What's the rubber room's opinion of John Mayer?

I love his music, and listen to him all the time. Would you guys punch me or call me queer if I said that to your face? Reason I ask is because I get mixed reviews on John Mayer from friends. A lot of my friends like him, and some call him gay. And somebody put him down in the Jessica Simpson thread, so I thought I'd get the consensus opinion from the RR regulars.

He's a little over dramatic, I guess. But dammit, you can't play that music and not feel it. Especially the newest album that's got some blues in it. I love when he just jams out to Gravity, and the band lets him just play for awhile.

His music is real good and an awesome guitar player.....just one of those guys or bands you listen to with the windows up when youre driving because youre not sure if anybody might consider u gay.
